Rooted in Del Mar
Kith Roots began as a small gathering in Del Mar, California, driven by a simple yet profound observation: our community was becoming increasingly disconnected across generational lines. Our founders saw the untapped wisdom of seniors and the vibrant energy of youth existing in silos, and felt a calling to weave these threads back together.
What started as a single weekend workshop in a local garden blossomed into a dedicated movement. We discovered that through shared creative expression—be it pottery, storytelling, or community gardening—barriers dissolved and authentic emotional wellbeing flourished. The stories shared over shared projects became the foundation of our organization's identity.
Today, Kith Roots stands as a testament to the power of local connection. From our humble origins to our current status as a thriving nonprofit hub, our mission remains unchanged: to nurture the soul of our community by ensuring no generation walks alone.
